We wrapped up the first Black Friday / Cyber Monday in our history with the Hamza Market offer. Closed some sales but not as many as we had forecasted. Yet what is more valuable is the feedback. We are learning how difficult it is to make a transaction on the platform. There was always the assumption it would be hard for people to use an L2 on Ethereum (Optimism) we are finding out it is harder than we had predicted for most.
Some are swapping for OP token on Optimism, and then confused when they do not have funds to make the order (we do not currently accept OP)
Others are bridging USDT, and then ETH separately, running out of funds for gas on Mainnet for both transactions.
And many simply hesitate to for lack urgency to pay Mainnet fees, or the learning curve.
There are solutions to this, we have in our roadmap – yet it seems even more urgent than we had anticipated.
The main function is the seller side, and the buyer side options to reduce the friction (via account abstraction).
